Adults

Tiny, brown mite, lives and lays eggs in the top layer of soil and soilless mixes. The nymphs and adults feed on soil dwellings. Life cycle is about 10 days.

Feeds on
Fungus gnats, Spingtails, thrip larva and others. (Possibly root mealybugs).

Shipped
Adults, immatures and some eggs with pasteurized peat mix in shaker bottles.

Release Rates
1.14 quarts per 500 to 1,000 plants or 400 sq. ft. to 1,000 sq. ft.
Cucumbers – 4.5 quarts to 9 quarts per acre;
Peppers – 11.5 to 14 quarts per acre.

Note: Also use Beneficial Nematodes and Yellow Sticky Cards for fungus gnat control. For thrip control place on Greenhouse floor. Becomes inactive at 57° Fahrenheit.

Note: It is important for the predator to be built up early in crop before any evidence of thrips. It is important to use blue sticky cards to monitor thrips as the parasites are attracted to yellow cards.
